We are always aware that when you call on Campbell Tax and Financial Services you entrust us with more than your money.  We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients whether we prepare income tax returns or provide financial and investing services.  We want you to understand how we protect your privacy when we collect and use information about you, and the measures we take to safeguard that information.  Keeping customer information confidential and private is a priority for us.

Information we Collect

We gather your nonpublic personal information from

·        trust writing

·        tax preparation

·        tax organizers

·        account applications

·        worksheets

·        investment accounts

·        mortgage/closing papers

We restrict access to your information to our employees & agents who need the information to provide you with the services you request.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic information.  We will not disclose your personal & confidential information to anyone outside our firm without your express written permission to do so.  That includes mortgage companies, but you may fax your instructions.  Without legal summons, your documents are not given to any government agency.

 When is it Time to Discard

Eventually some files are not longer needed to be retained.  Five years after the last return we prepare for you, we purge the file. 

We continue to take precautions with your private information when it is time to discard the paper documents we have stored for you.  WE DO NOT USE REGULAR TRASH CANS.  We shred or burn each document which contains your identifying number, name, or address.  WE DESTROY OLD HARD DRIVES.

 We do not sell, share or disclose your non-public personal information to non-affiliated third party marketing companies.  We will contact you ourselves about additional financial services we provide, only if you have signed a document which permits us to do so.
